The Hands remember

Two gestures for returning to the Light within and remembering the Presence of the Soul.

There are gestures the body understands before the mind does.

Some do not need to be learned as technique. They do not need to be perfected, activated, or performed correctly.

They simply return the human to what is already present.

One of the simplest is this: both hands placed flat over the chest, one over the other, resting over the heart center. No energetic complexity, noreaching upward, or calling something in from outside.

Just the hands returning to the place where the fragment of Source was placed before the first breath.

The Inner Sanctum of the heart. The point of Light that has been burning continuously since before you arrived.

The hands on the heart are a gesture of Presence with what is within, not calling forth what is above. Not reaching toward what is outside.

Simply arriving at what is already here.

Feel the warmth of the hands against the chest, the heartbeat beneath the palms.

That steady, faithful rhythm that continued through every difficulty, every forgetting, every moment when the density became so great that the Light could no longer be felt. And yet the heart continued.

The connection was not broken, it was covered.

Breathe slowly.

Feel the chest rise and fall beneath the hands.

Turn the attention inward, gently. There is nothing to search for, nothing to force.

Nothing particular you are required to feel.

Stay with the warmth, with the heartbeat, with the quiet persistence of the Light at the center.

This gesture belongs to the moment when the heart is able to remain present with itself.

When nothing needs to be summoned. There is no distance to cross.

The hands simply come home to what is already there.

Rest here.

Feel what is beneath the palms, and that is enough.

There are other moments when what is needed is different.

You may arrive carrying distance.

Distance from yourself, from others, distance from the connection that was always present beneath the quiet.

The distance may feel real, but it is not the truth of what you are.

For this, bring the palms together softly. Do not press them tightly. Allow a hollow to remain between them, as though the hands are holding a small invisible chamber of space.

Let the fingers point upward.

This is the Beloved Mudra.

I call it Beloved because it returns the human to something easily forgotten:

You are the beloved of Source.

The mudra does not command. It invites. It opens the channel.

It says:

I am ready to feel what is always there.

And the Soul responds to that readiness.

Feel the hollow between the palms.

Let it remain open.

The fingers rise toward the sushumna above the crown, toward the place where the Soul rests.

Breathe.

The gesture calls forth the protective Light of the Soul. Not descending into the body, but surrounding it.

A tall, soft Presence forming around the human structure.

The shrine begins to appear.

Stay within it.

Do not try to make the sensation stronger.

Do not decide what it should feel like.

Simply remain.

One breath may be enough.

Something may be felt only faintly.

That does not make it less real.

The invitation has been made.

And for a moment, the human remembers that the distance it carried was never the whole truth.
